Högna Heiðbjört Jónsdóttir (b. 1997) lives and works in Copenhagen. She studied fine art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in the Netherlands and earned a BA degree in Fine Art from the Iceland University of the Arts.

 

Primarily a painter, Högna employs both instinctual and systematic approaches in her process. Her recent works are marked by acts of collection and arrangement, often featuring vibrant, synergistic color palettes. Everyday objects and the understated beauty of routine life are recurring themes in her practice, where familiar items are recontextualized to draw attention to the often unnoticed.
