Ísar Svan Icelandic, b. 1999
"Ísar Svan's work bridges inner terrain and outer landscapes, offering quiet reflections on place, memory, and emotional geography."
Ísar Svan (b. 1999) is an emerging artist based in Reykjavík. His practice centers on exploring the relationship between his internal landscapes and the physical environment he grew up in - an emotional terrain that continues to exert a deep, enduring influence.
Primarily a painter, Ísar also works with drawing and video, weaving together introspective narratives that often blur the lines between memory and geography.
