Elín Elísabet Einarsdóttir Icelandic, b. 1992
Elín has held various solo exhibitions as well as showing in group exhibitions
and collaborating with the Rúlletta art collective. Her works have been
exhibited in Iceland, Slovakia and Austria, and in exhibition spaces such as
The Factory in Hjalteyri, Gletta Art Space, Hafnarborg and Ásmundarsalur.
Elín has been to residencies such as Thread Senegal (Josef and Anni Albers
Foundation), Röstin in Langanes and Joya: arte + ecología in rural Spain.
Elín’s poetry has been published in Ljóðbréf and in a German translation in
Signaturen Magazin. As an illustrator, Elín has received several
acknowledgements, including the Icelandic Literary Prize. She sings in the
choir/art collective Kliður and is a board member at The Living Art Museum.
Elín Elísabet studied Drawing and Illustration at the Reykjavík School of Visual
Arts and Fine Art at Iceland University of the Arts, as well as doing a semester
abroad at the painting department at the Art Academy of Latvia and a Drawing
Intensive Term at the Royal Drawing School, London. She is currently doing
an MA in Creative Writing alongside her art practice.
