Overview
Meeting Point brings together seven contemporary artists from Iceland, Denmark, and Greenland whose practices span painting, sculpture, and textile. Rooted in distinct cultural contexts yet connected through the shared landscape of the North Atlantic, the exhibition offers a meeting place for diverse artistic voices.
Working with different materials and approaches, the artists explore themes of memory, identity, nature, and transformation. Each practice is shaped by individual experience, while together the works reveal unexpected resonances across disciplines, geographies, and traditions. Rather than presenting a single narrative, Meeting Point invites dialogue between materials, cultures and the artworks themselves.
The title Meeting Point refers not only to the gathering of artists from diverse geographical and cultural contexts, but also to the gallery itself: a place where ideas, perspectives, and people converge. It is an invitation to slow down, to notice relationships between works that may not be immediately apparent, and to discover unexpected affinities across different media and ways of making.
