Anna Maggý: Avoiding Death and Birth
Journal entries transferred to visual form.
Improvised writing from an unseen and unspoken subconscious.
The eternal battle with the state of mind.
Up, down, up, down,
down, up, down, up
and everything in between.
Order, disorder.
An exploration of the inner spirit, one's own nature, an exploration of existence.
Sensing without supervision.
The feeling finds a place in me, in you, in the viewer.
In the head.
If you sharpen your senses, maybe you will understand me?
Anna Maggý (b. 1995) predominantly uses photography in her practise, as well as other media such as installations and videos. Her work is an emotional landscape - keyholes of visual magical realism, to which the viewer holds the key. Anna Maggý strives to convey a message between reality and dreams, environment and imagination, examines the boundaries between the outer surface and the subconscious.
